Our EX 330 is leaking hydraulic oil into the slew ring area. We have changed the centre joint. Can hyd oil leak from the slew motor through the box?
Its probably the shaft seal on the bottem of the swing transmission.
Is the swing transmission gear box overfull. I misread and thought you said gear oil.
It would have to go through the swingdrive gearbox first and blow the seal out of the gearbox. How are your swivel valve seals? Lift up the rubber boot on the swivel valve to see if there is oil coming out of it.
If the swing drive gearbox is overfull of oil and the oil is leaking onto the carbody frame under the rotex bearing, the bottom seal of the swing transmission is leaking as well as the output shaft seal con your swing drive motor. The center joint can`t leak onto the carbody as it has nothing to do with allowing oil into the rotex bearing.
Good day Alans I have searched the archives and attach the following. If we can provide further help please come back to us. Kind regards Uffex
If your gaining oil in the pinion area, it will be coming out of the swing gear planetary underneath the swing motor, there should be a dipstick for the planetary gear oil. If the seal failed on the motor, it would overfill the swing gear planetary and leach out the filler pipe for the planetary or the vent, it will not blow the seal out of the planetary. I do not have any experience with a 330, but seal leakage is very common on 750's, and I have replaced many of them. Lee
