Could someone help me, yesterday my hitachi Ex 60-1 hydraulic pump got white smoke coming out from between the pump and the engine coupling cover. could any of u know what the problem that i face? would the rubber coupling fail? or hydraulic pump seal leaking and catch fire?
not to familiar with the 60-1 but we have 2 100-3's and there apears to be a drive case inbetween the eng. and pump. It has two gears and runs in oil. Are's also has a dipstick in the trans coupler. that could be a prob. if you are having bearing failure and the oil is burning off. Hope that helps some.
