Hello, I have a Takeuchi TB260 that needs hydraulic quick connects on the auxiliary lines out by the bucket... They seems to be quite expensive from Takeuchi. Is there a certain style that works better than another? Was looking at some at various websites. At the moment my Aux lines are just capped off at the end of the boom. Thank you
Stucci and the Faster brands seem to work well. They will be expensive but probably more expensive at the dealer.
The ones that screw together to open the port. Otherwise you will always be fighting trapped oil in the circuit.
Look at the flat face couplers at Summit Hydraulics
Good day We have experienced complaints on a number of occasions where the coupling proves very difficult to part especially with those less expensive units. To release all couplings it is advisable with the motor stopped to turn on the key > place the control lock out to the opretive position and move the option spool. Kind regards Uffex
If flow rates are not an issue ,ag type iso couplers are pretty cheap.
Yes, that is the way to clear the Taki excavator (and many others I am sure). Spend the money and get good couplers. Faster is what I have on mine, they wear out like anything but they are reasonably priced and last quite a while.
Does anyone remember the tool posted here a few years ago to help couple and uncouple flat face couplers. I have had my eyes open for years and never could find it again
Depends on the flow rate provided by your machine. I have used numerous different types of quick couplers over the years. The worst ones to use are the Ag type or collar release type without a locking mechanism - these can disconnect easily when in brush or debris and damage some hydraulics. The best ones are the screw together type with low flow losses. Be sure EVERYTHING is immaculate within the couplers prior to connecting together or face hydraulic damage. Brake parts cleaner or WD40 are my go to cleaners. The Cat European couplers have been working very well for me and they are inexpensive but only offer fairly low flow rates. For high flow rates, CEJN 607 & 707 series couplers are working well but they are extremely expensive. I've also used some high flow, high pressure wing nut style couplers for over 15 years and they are extremely good but somewhat expensive. Stucci VEP series tend to wear out quickly, start leaking within a year's service and are also expensive but can be rebuilt if you can find the kits. Ag couplers are for tractors, not heavy equipment service. Best prices for couplers that I've found are at Mike's place here: https://www.hydraulics-etc.com/pare...rs, Coupling Plates and Inline Check Valves /
