Can I use the main elbow on the top of the hydraulic pump HEUI system 3408E, to fill the reservoir of the pump. Is it connected to the body of the pump around the rotary group or not
Here's what the Service Manual says - "Note: The unit injector hydraulic pump must be primed before inlet tube assembly (3) is installed. Pour 0.95 L (1.00 qt) of clean engine oil directly in the inlet of the unit injector hydraulic pump before tube (3) is installed." Sorry the illustration isn't better quality but I think it shows enough for you to make sense of it.
