Hello. Does anyone here know the part number for hydraulic sytem filter element on ´68 Cat D4d serial no. 58J. I can´t find it in my parts manual and when I opened the filter unit up it was empty!
If the Serial Number on that plate is 54Gxxxx then the filter element is a 4J-0816 which services to a 1R-0728. The reason you can't find the filter in your Parts Manual is that the hydraulic tank is listed in the 141 Hydraulic Control fitted to your tractor. You would need a separate Parts Manual specific to the Hydraulic Control for that.
