My 50 year old Ford is worn but I still love it. Hydraulic pump is only putting out about 1450 psi. I would like to replace it but since the pumps have not been available from Ford for years I am forced to looks at the replacement that is available. Have read several places that the inlet and outlet locations on the pump are different that originals and require modification to the hard lines. Wondering if anyone here has done such a swap and what all is entailed or how you skinned this cat.
its hard to do, but after its done, next one would be easy lol hard to figure out and what do, best to is replace all you can of the hard tubing with hose, using different connectors at end of hard tubing to hyd hose connectors, that will imposible at some ends, will require cutting tubing off and sliding hyd hose adpt over tubing and silver solider the joint,, tubing on the outside is the same as inside of hose gl hope this helps as a start
If it is regular inch tubing Aeroquip versiflare fittings might be your friend
Good to know. never knew such a thing existed
