I recently purchased a Ford 555D backhoe. I am having a problem with the boom swing and thought someone would know what is causing the problem. The symptoms are the boom swings slow to right and left, the speed of swing improves when temperature is warmer and worsens when it is colder, boom will only swing ~45degrees in either direction. I saw another Ford 555D parked in someones yard, I stopped and talked to the owner and he told me his started doing same thing about two years ago. Anyone know what would cause this?
