Like many equipment checklists there should be 20 hour 50 hour 100 hour and probably yearly schedules of things to check/change at prescribed intervals to keep the lift truck in top working order.

http://safety.cat.com/cda/files/2460948/7/Safety+%26+Maintenance+Inspection-ForkLifts+V0810.1.pdf See the attached link for a common daily checklist. As for maintenance, it all depends on the type and make of machine. EG Manitou forklifts recommend engine servicing every 500hrs, whilst large Toyota forklifts its 500hrs. Do you have a specific machine you were refering to?

Here you go. These are the USA government agency OSHA’s forklift maintenance checklists: •Ensure your forklift is serviced within the periodic intervals as recommended by the Original Manufacturer. •Consider regular maintenance, lubrication, and inspections of the forklift to keep it in optimum running condition. •Impose routine examination including oil change, filling water mufflers, inspecting wear & tears of forklift tires. •Make sure all the safety options work. Check seatbelt, mirrors, and reverse beep mechanism are perfectly mounted. •Check for fuel system leakages, if any replace the defective part immediately. •Inspect hydraulic cylinders, valves, hoses & other fittings on a regular basis. •Examine all batteries, motors, controllers, limit switches, protective devices, electrical conductors, and connections regularly. •Check daily brakes, steering mechanisms, control mechanisms, warning devices, lights, lift overload devices, guards and safety devices. •Top priority must be given to the entire electrical insulation. •Keep forklift clean to detect loose or defective parts easily. •Do not execute any modifications or additions of forklift attachments like forks without manufacturer's approval. I found more forklift fork information available on http://store.intellaliftparts.com/c/Forks.html •Ensure all replacement parts are identical or equivalent to the original parts. •Get confirmed all your operators are licensed and well trained to avoid unnecessary accidents.
