I have a Cat D3G 2005. The forward/reverse speed ratio is set at 1:1.5. Meaning that what ever speed you are going forward at, the machine will go backwards at 1.5 times that speed. I would like the ratio to be recalibrated to 1:1. Could someone tell me how this is performed? I remember a thread on here about this many months ago but have not been able to find it. My best recollection is that a Cat technician must make the change and it is performed by electronic means.
Yes you will have to plug into it to set the speed ratio difference down, most people preffer it the way it is set now though
