Ran my machine about three hours yesterday and it suddenly started idling down and went dead...will only stay running when i pump the fuel bulb. Changed the fuel filter today and same thing....ran a line into a separate fuel can and same, so i know it's not the fuel pickup tube in the tank. So i will replace the lift pump tomorrow...my question is can i just pull it out and stick the new one in or is there something special that has to be done first. This is on a 2000 863
There's generally no real surprises when replacing a lift pump. At least, I've never had one give me grief.
You can unbolt and install that pump with no worries.
Thanks guys, just wanted to be sure before i go pulling stuff apart. Better safe than sorry. Oh yea, the checks in the mail !!!
