May i know the function of prv solonoide of cat excavators and why should it calibrate as 2 points (Hi,Lo) and what is its connection to fixed power shift pressure. by using excavator monitor we can change the fixed power shift pressure. How to set it correctly. And Recent past a technician replaced prv solonoid of our cat 311b and he calibrated it manually without a pressure gauge.what he did was as i saw he put speed dial switch to 6 position and he entered the prv calibration through the monitor pannel and closed the bucket time to time and adjusted the Lo calibration point until engine can hold it with out over loading it or black smoke putting out from the engine.same thing he did with the Hi calibration point as well. And finally he reduced the engine rpm step by step by checking whether engine gets overload when bucket, arm, boom fully closed or open. but it worked fine even in the speed dial 1 position without overloading the engine. And he told that excavator conditions are very good. now i am working fine with it for about 4 months. Is this a correct method to do this calibration ?

Helo Nige have caterpillar excavator 349d JGB00665, the engine has problem of stalling after couples of minutes of operation, no active code, but when i checked hydraulic pressures, found pump1 1093 kpa, pump2 778 kpa and powershift pressure 3533 kpa, these values when key ON and engine OFF, how about pressure values are they ok at KOEO
