Hi guys, I am working on a gen 3 gehl 12-42 telehandler that has diesel in the motor oil. This machine runs great, does not sputter, blow black smoke or low power. It has a cummins 3.8 engine, serial #76353173 I am guessing the fuel pump seal and not injectors as the engine runs fine. Any thoughts? Does anyone have the procedure for fuel pump removal and install on this particular engine. Does someone have a part number for the pump? thanks
Is it a Bosch VE inj pump.? Does it have a lock timing bolt (10mm) on the mounting flange.?? Look below (under) the inj pump mounting flange and see if there’s a plunger or a plug to insert a pin..
