2000 genie z45/25 with ford. The engine starts and runs fine as long as you hold the start switch. As soon as it is released it immediately dies. No codes . I have replaced the start module.

onr of the diodes on the panel was not passing current either way!
i got same problem--it will run on ether~! on same machine i cannot read the stupid wiring diagrams this 99 model was turned over and i have it repaired to start(new intake manifold and rotater motor and tires wheels) and cannot get fuel up thru propane valve on engine for it to run with it also the gas/propane dont change when i check it off the back of switch should be simple tomorrow im going to install new fuel lines and see if it will run on gasoline any help with your problem repair might get me going in right directions
In mu case was the alternator. When engine runs it sends impulses to black ignition start module telling it that engine is running. Wire plugs into alternator and runs to pin 2 and it also runs to engine power limit board inside the basket control box (that boards maintains RPM)
