Genie Z45/25 Lift problems PLEASE HELP

kentuckynet ยท 2015-11-03 20:25

No one in my area is any help with the problems i currently have with my genie lift, its a Z45/25 and its the 45' or the second boom that wont raise, it has the sound that the hydarulic fluid is moving when you move the switch on the machine at the ground or in the basket, removed the solenoid and guess valve replaced the o-rings and put it back in didn't help.Checked the wiring with a light but it was dim when you engaged the switch either moving up or down, when i used the same light to test any of the others that work correctly the light glows bright (not dim). checked all the grounds i could find but no luck. can anyone give me a direction to check, when i push the toggle to move the boom that takes you up to the 45; mark it tries to move just a little but wont move more than a couple of inches...the sound you hear kinda fits whats happening (no real way for me to describe the sound but its different compared to the ones that work.....replaced a lot of the orings in many of the "valaves" lots were dry rotted and most worked much better after replacing the o-rings. This problem was present BEFROE replacing any o-rings...... Please help

If you follow this link, it will take you to place where you can download a service manual for your machine serial number. The Genie manuals are quite good. The page you want is 5-30 "Chart #14" - Secondary Boom Up No Function. It gives you a good flow chart to help you troubleshoot the problem you are having. http://manuals.gogenielift.com/Parts%20And%20Service%20Manuals/servZbooms4.htm Most of that circuit is only 3 to 6 volts so that's why your test light was "dim". You'll need a volt meter and an ohm meter to follow through the tests.

thanks but cant find a 5-30 section 14 on any of the many different possibilities that you sent me, it would take quite some time to look through all the different manuals available to find the item you speak of.......thanks but i would certainly need a more direct link......................thanks
