Hi , Could anyone please assist , I have a Z80/60 that has a auto leveling problem. As soon as you either lower or lift the boom and platform it will cut out due to the platform not staying level. The serial number is Z8008-1830. Any assistance will be appreciated. Kind Regards Ernst
Probably just needs a new basket leveling control valve block. It's one of the valve blocks mounted on the back side of the basket below the control panel. That's if the problem just started and has been good up until now. If it has always been a problem..... With the Z80/60 low serial number machine (I struggle with #565) there is a fault in the basket leveling. Updating the operating system on the computer helps a bit. When you first power up on ground control, what number comes up? 1.01? The best you can do is version 1.03 It takes a Genie dealer to do that "update" for you. Genie also makes a "basket level fault recovery kit". It's a toggle switch you install on the basket panel that allows you to override and bring the basket back into level. That makes it livable, it will never be perfect.
