Getting a Flashing code on a 2003 110 John Deere backhoe

As the title says ,I am getting a flashing code that seem to indicate something wrong with the engine speed sensor. So I am getting loss of performance. Manual suggest :get single in range :cycle controller power to clear Any thoughts how to do this. Thanks

    Try disconnecting the battery for a minute.

    OK, It was suggested to disconnect the battery. I did for over a Hr the result is the flashing code stopped. Hope that will be the end of it.
