girling brakes

having trouble with girling brakes 1996 f800 pedal moves but feels like no power assist bought truck from auction had leaks everywhere replaced pump power head with master cyl also all rear cylinders and front calipers one park brake acutator and park brake valve im a big boy and i have to stand on pedal just to get this thing to slow down any ideas? have bled system several times and still no better cant find any specs on pump pressure or fluid schematic.

    Don't have any specs on main pump pressure, just curious if brakes/pedal work acceptable by using emergency pump when engine not running?

    no change fels like pedal hits a steel block but checked pedal travel nothing hits

    Are you sure you got the right master cylinder? Double check that..what you have on it now compared to what the book says it should have. Too small a cylinder will feel like that.

    checked out master cyl today per ford parts book its the correct one

    Sounds like the booster ain't working at all, and neither is the back up pump. Does your brake booster get its oil pressure supply from the steering pump, or does it have its own pump? Also wondering if it has a Bosch Hydro-Max booster and master cylinder system. Don't know if this link will work, but if it does you can download some info about the Hydro-Max booster.     Does that master cylinder have two pressure line's coming off it? If it does, take one line off, install a brake rivet in the line and isolate the front from the back. This will tell you if its there.

    most if not all the girling setups have a separate reservoir and pump for the hydrobost completely independent of the power steering system
