groeneveld auto greaser troubleshooting hazard

Burnt toast ยท 2016-04-06 10:56

We have a loader with this on it. When it works it works great. Lately it has been giving issues. The hazard light on the remote tends to stay on all the time. If u push the test button it starts to go through the modes. Works for a bit then u have to push the rest button again? Any ideas what to look for? Thanks

First look closely for a broken line (you should see excessive grease piled up) or loose fitting causing a pressure loss and fault. Are all joints getting grease ? Undo the main outlet grease line from the unit and hit the manual grease/purge button and see if it greases. Check power connections for water or corrosion. Look for the manual or contact supplier to supply another as they are simple systems and a some basic troubleshooting usually finds the issue. Do you have another loader with the groeneveld greaser on it ? If so swap units and see if the problem moves. I have seen broken lines, bad electrical, and failed units (it faulted and would not grease and yes had to exchange the entire greaser as it has the computer inside)

does it have any numbers or letters on the display where it should the duty of the greasing interval? Check the wires from the unit to the pressure sensors on the blocks for damage..

No numbers or letters and display just flashing lights and there's the hazard symbol that typically flashes constantly sometimes if you hit the test button on the greaser itself it clears up but only sometimes

Replace your grease pressure switch and that will fix the problem.
