Hello everyone, i have a Genie GTH-1056 telehandler serial number GTH1013-18075 the issue i am having is it starts and then shuts down after 30 seconds, has new filters and fuel pump. it has the deutz engine tdc3.6
How many hours on the unit? Does it have an external Fuel Solenoid that if powered with a remote wire and 12 Volts keeps it running. Is that engine computer controlled or does it have just fuel pump and injectors. Have you tried disconnecting the fuel line at the filter and leaving it disconnected for 10 seconds to see if it just gushes fuel the whole time.. Does it have a positive electrical air shut off that is shutting down. Any fault codes on dash that can give some guidance. Maybe post up some pictures for others to see and maybe some ideas will follow. Simon C
Check your coolant level
I have and it's good also replaced coolant sensor still shuts off
As for hrs and codes its unknown because of the dash cluster being broken. It has a new 12v fuel pump.
I will be replacing volume control valve to see if that fixes it.
Hold your hand over exhaust and make sure you get good exhaust flow.
I will try that next week when I'm with the machine.
We’ve had cases where plugged up DPF modules have choked the exhaust so much the engine will start and run for a few second and shut off.
