Would you guys know, to take a lift cylinder off of an international h-90E do you have to remove the wheel and tire? or is there a way to get the cylinder off the bottom pin without removing the wheel? thanks!

It's been thirty years since I've worked on a Hough but I remember the C and D series pretty well. The pin held the bottom of both cylinders and usually rusted into the frame so it could never be moved again. Basically you were stuck taking the wheel off and sliding the cylinder over the end of the pin. If the cylinder hadn't been getting greased proper there would be a groove worn in the end of the pin and you were in for a real bad couple of days because the frozen base pin usually had to be cut out with a real big torch or an air arc. Good Luck!

thanks for the reply. ive owned the machine for about 10 years and it does get greased regularly. In order to not take the wheel off im guessing you have to drive the pin out the other side of the machine to get the cylinder off right?

I believe that is correct but you can just look under the machine and see if the pin goes all the way across.
