Anybody have a good reference for hard hat stickers? Lots of companies on line, but if someone has had a good experience, please let me know.

Muffler-man i would try your local printing shop i get most of my equipment and truck stickers at my local printer they make them in shop all sizes i put stickers on everything from backhoe to chainsaws and the prices are not that bad. Just make sure you tell them they are going to be used outdoors.

just an fyi ive been on a few jobsites where the safety inspector has made everyone get new hardhats because he couldn't see if there was cracks under the stickers on the hardhat!

Yeah, if you read the fine print either for OSHA or MSHA it's technically illegal to put stickers on a hardhat for that reason. That being said, I've seen inspectors with stickers, not to mention half the safety courses you have to take to be on jobs these days give you hardhat stickers to show you're cleared to be on the site. Catch 22, and I think they give individuality to a guy. If it's just to cover up a crack, you'll need a second one for the inside, and then who's really being fooled.

i heard that only certian stickers have a speacial glue in them that doesnt rot the hh plastic causing failure

Deeretime;you are correct about the glue issue.Only "approved manufacturers" have the mandated glue for the company issued site specific stickers that were previously mentioned.

OSHA or MSHA does not recognize any "outside" company stickers upon inspection. This can result in a citation. We have been in the construction business collectively over 47 years and have seen this happen. It seems frugal but it is something to look for.Our company handles numerous accounts for safety equipment and HI Visibility Clothing and do not recommend the sale of stickers only to ones that are site specific per task.
