HD16B won’t tilt

The blade on my 16B won't tilt to the right. It tilts to the left fine, seems like it might tilt to far to the left, but will not even go back to level. I think the brace that is used to adjust the pitch on the right side of the blade may have pulled out on the bottom about 3 inches, the top part where it would screw out is welded. Would that be far enough to put all of the tilt on the left side? The tilt cylinder stroke is four inches, does anyone know if it should move farther?

Yes, that will be far enough to screw it up. Adjust the manual rod.

4-5 inches is max travel , of course there is no adjustment on tilt ram side . there may be a point that the tilt ram cannot bring the blade back to level like going over the apex. you need to set the dozer on level ground , blade off the ground about 4 in. . find max travel of ram and set 1/2 way , adjust rod on other side til blade rests level. you probably know how to do that anyways . i have complete set of parts manuals for 16b so if you need any numbers or pics , shoot a pm .

Thats what I thought it was going to be. The cylinder is moving 4 inches, so not a problem with that. Guess I will take a length of pipe and a big pipe wrench with me next time I use it. Thank you
