help me. I'm quarry owner , i need to buy 30-40 ton excavator , used not new but i don't have experience , i need excavator have the capability to move 20 ton stones also with good durability. i need your advice
Find a good excavator operator who will tell you that a 40 tonne machine will not move a 20 tonne rock unless you want to roll it along the ground............if it is round and facing downhill.
my business need 30-39 ton not 40-..ton
Unless you break it up you will not move a 20ton rock. Anyway what sort of budget do you have for the machine? are you looking for low hours?
baha, i think the advice you received from hendrick, is some you need to listen to, nick bowers told you the same thing! reminds me of a story....lady walks into ice cream store, says..give me a single dip chocolate ice cream cone, guy behind counter says...sorry lady, we're out of chocolate ice cream...she goes, okay, give me a double dip chocolate ice cream cone...he says lady, we're out of chocolate ice cream...she goes...OKAY then!!! give me a TRIPLE dip chocolate ice cream cone...he says lady, how do you spell the straw in strawberry...she goes s-t-r-a-w...he goes very good, now how do you spell the van in vanilla? she goes v-a-n....he goes excellent...now how do you spell the frig in chocolate? she says...there is no frig in chocolate...he goes lady...that's what i been tryin to tell you.
I need a 40 ton excavator to pick up 20 ton boulders and I want it to last damnit!!! RFLMAO!!!
may be not to left it but at least to roll it, the space in quarry is not that big also with slope, so 40 ton and above will be problem and dangerous at the same time,i have 2 lieb 43 tons ,all i need one used excavator not above 80000$ ,model above 2000 have good durability to keep up with work for one year without problem.
maybe you should consider a 80-90 tonne machine.
I think this is the range of machine he is looking for. Are you looking to import one from the USA?
I reckon for shifting 20 tonne rocks, this is what you need and not that expensive either, apparently Just don't hit the rocks like a golfball
I ran a linkbelt 330 a couple summers ago with a grapple loading 4-6 ton boulders for a jetty project. I can tell you that the 6 tonners put up a fight to just pick them up, I am not sure it would move anything bigger than 10 tons. I know it's not what you want to hear, but as Mr. Jager says, "you can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need" :drinkup best of luck to you at any rate.
baha, I am curious as to what you are doing with 20 ton stones. Also how far do you need to move them.
As a rule of thumb an excavator will lift 20% of it's weight, so to lift a 20 tonne rock you need a 100 tonne machine and even then I would not slew it.
i made research about lifting capacity as you can see in attachment . you will see that the 30 ton have the capability not only to roll it but also to move it, that's what made me confused. i extract stone not more 25 tons. the excavator work as also in attachment picture ,the quarry size and nature made see that the only technique to left the stone.
Where do you see that you can pick 20 tons with that machine? The greatest number on there is just a hair over 34 thousand, that's only 17 ton. Are you sure you want tons or are you talking 20 thousand pounds(10 tons)?
sorry i choose wrong here is the right attachment for link belt 330lx
Ok, So that machine will pick 20 ton, as long as it's right next to the machine and the bucket is 10 feet below grade, so do you plan on digging a hole and burying the rock? 'Cause you're not going to do anything useful at or above ground level with 20 ton.
Very true. The real max you can safely pick up and handle with a 330 class machine would be around 10 tonnes over the front, and 6ish tonnes over the side. You might be able to roll a 20 tonne rock if it is round, but would be very tough if the rock has flat faces.
those numbers are also taken under ideal conditions. slope of grade machine is on, how solid the ground is. a bunch of small factors will reduce the lift real fast.
Could you not use a crane Instead of the excavator Put a 518 Link Belt In there with a good rigger
Those figures are also over a VERY SMALL envelope. If you could actually lift something of that weight, you certainly don't want to machine to tip over, have the ground collapse under you, or over ride the hydraulic capacity when you try and move the arm a couple of inches ointhead
Thank you guys . i guess i have to decrease the weight of stones from 20 to 10-15. but at least i need advice about good one also i noticed that almost 30 ton excavators have Kawasaki bump ,is it good or not
Kawasaki pumps would be one of the most widely used pumps in mid range excavators from Japan, Korea and China. The pump is the most important and most vulnerable part of your hydraulic system and will not tolerate bad or dirty oil. If a machine is well maintained you should get good service out of Kawasaki pumps if abused they will fail and cost you a lot of cash like any other VDP pump.
excavator good durability ???????????
