High pinning

Truck Shop ยท 2020-07-11 21:03

This example below is common destruction of the jaw fork when a driver high pins the fifthwheel. Get about three of these a year to install a rebuild kit in. You see it takes extra effort to get off their *** and check fifthwheel height before backing under. They know by looking in the mirrors everything is ok.

Truck Shop is telling stories! Just ask Mr Idono, Wuden Me or Special Tallant. Grimelems come in and do that in the middle of the night.

Hollands are easily rebuildable and adjustable and are worth the kit and time . Fontaine no slack , and others like them kit is expensive not worth price or labor time to rebuild them can buy a replacment top plate for them usually only a little more cost then the price of the rebuild and they are junk. I agree totally with TS

Around here if it doesn't have a Holland the truck is worth about $750.00 less. Fontaine and that slider is a piece of crap.

Someone managed to crack the locking bar once the pin is in on mine. That much steel in thickness and width took some talent to crack it.
