Have owned dash 3's in past. Am looking at EX200LC-5's. Are they mechanically and electronically closer to the Zaxis or more like the Dash 3's? Specifically cooling,control lever leaks and engine management. Machines typically have around 10,000 hrs. Thanks
Hi there The -5 machines are far superior to the -3 machines. There electrical system is closer to the Zaxis -1 system and is pretty reliable and also can be easily bypassed if required! As for the hydraulics they are completely different from the -3 and once again more akin to the Zaxis-1. In my opinion these -5 models were one of the best machines Hitachi ever produced and have been working here in NZ and across the pacific islands for years where they are still highly sort after to this day.
