Hitachi EX270LC SN 5N 158-5661 All functions on right pilot controller have slow hydraulics. Pilot pressure is 553 PSI. Checked pilot pressure at boom 1 spool during a boom up with pilot controller fully stroked have 553 psi. Boom up takes about 9 to 10 seconds. If you stroke the left pilot controller while using any function on right controller that function will speed up any suggestions. Also noticed all functions on left pilot controller will load engine right controller does not. Getting this info from owner have not physically been to machine. For reference boom and bucket functions are on right pilot controller.
How many hours on the machine? One pump is not stroking up or is broken. Return filter and suction strainer need to be pulled and inspected. Boom up cycle time generally should be between four and six seconds. What dash number is the machine, 3 or 5?
John C. is pointing where I would start too. The part that stands out is that a left-hand function makes the right-hand functions wake up. With 553 psi pilot pressure at the boom 1 spool, I would not chase the right pilot handle first; I would split pilot signal from pump response. I would put gauges on both pump delivery lines and the pump control/servo signal lines, then compare boom up alone vs boom up while slowly moving a left-stick function. If there is little engine load and low pump pressure on boom up alone, that pump is not stroking. If pressure comes up but speed is still poor, then look harder at relief, bypass, spool travel, or oil going somewhere it should not. I would also pull the return filter and suction strainer before adjusting anything. If there is metal or bronze in there, stop and find the source. If clean, next checks would be the pump regulator/servo piston, stuck control spool, broken regulator spring, and any pump summation/merge circuit that should be bringing the second pump in for boom up.
Based on the serial # 158-5661, indicates a EX270-1 . Check the flow sense valve pressure signals at the individual pumps using swing only (rear pump) and then bucket only (front pump). Check again when going full boom up only. Spec at high idle ,controls in neutral 360 psi , at full control lever stroke less than 85 psi . In full boom up only , both pumps should be being signaled from the flow sense valves to produce max displacement. . @Steve Austin ,Check your messages.
