Hitachi EX30-2 3 tonne Hydraulic fluid level check

Hi , can anyone tell me the correct way to check the hydrulic fluid level, its an old machine and i don't have a manual. Is it arm /boom down or all folded back in on itself. Thanks and happy new year to all
