Hitachi ex60-3 brake seals

Powerlinedigger ยท 2019-05-01 21:36

I recently purchased a Hitachi ex60-3. Having some problems finding parts for it. It's sat for the past 8 years and now I'm trying to get it going again. Trying to find some part numbers for the brake seals and for the hydraulic cylinder rebuild kits. Called the local john deere dealers and they are no help. Hydraulic oil keeps prrssurizing the planetaries and all my cylinders are leaking. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to HEF Powerline ! Someone with Hitachi experience will be along soon to help. As far as the planetaries filling with oil I would expect that to be from the travel motor shaft seal. If the shaft seals are leaking on both sides I would check the case drain return for restrictions.

Worn rotating group is the likely cause of the shaft seals leaking and most likely the most expensive repair. The rams aren't to bad to repair so long there is no scoring of the barrels or shafts. If you have a good bearing shop near by they should be able to supply the seals.

Problem im running into is when i pulled the drive motors out the brake seals crumbled into a million pieces. Nothing left to compare a new seal to. If i could find part numbers for those seals it would make life a little easier. Seems to be very difficult to get parts for a grey market machine here.

Check the slippers in the rotating group. If there is any side movement in them then they are cactus and a new group is required or a new motor, in which case it will come complete new everything. The other day someone was advertising track drive motors on here as a business, they may be able to help Try this Bloke. http://www.spfinaldrives.com/shop-final-drives

Hitachi EX60-2 & -3 are the same as a Deere 190E other than the engine. They should be able to get all the parts you need.

Do either of these look like what you have?
