Judging by that old school Hitachi logo on the tag it should be all mechanical, I believe the URG means it has an articulating boom for digging beside foundations in crowded areas of Japan?

Wow that machine is clean! Ok the only EX60-URG I have seen here had the articulated boom. That looks like a dash 2 or later cab, it may have electronic pump controls, do you have pics of the engine and pump compartments?

That appears to me to be at least a -5 cab. The EX60-3 cabs were very square'ish. The whole machine looks identical to my EX60-5, made in 1999. From what I looked up, that does not look like a URG at all. You're missing your blade cylinder metallic cover though. My $0.02....It's an EX60-5 despite the plate. My plate is on the right side of the cab at the bottom. Beside the boom. Looks absent on this machine for that position.

....and...with a Pilot Hydraulic system, you will likely have a computer....certainly for that late vintage.

The Machine in the picture is a Hitachi EX60-5, UK spec with long stick, blade and wide steel pads. Also hammer piped. The Hitachi EX60 URG has no ECU, it is a very basic system. URG refers to the short swing radius.
