My 240 started running rough (blubbering) then it got were it wouldn't start without either when it was cold now won't start warm without either it has most or all of its power but smokes black smoke under a load any ideas?
Any water in the seperator, clean out the filters, any screens inline to the injection pump
Check air filters
Black smoke indicates that it is getting fuel. I am with an airflow issue. X2 on check filters.
Checked air filters and turbo?
What model of ZX240 is it? Do you have a model code and serial number? Is it a common rail engine?
