Williamch93 ยท 2015-10-13 21:49

I have hitachi zx200-5g hour machine 1200. Suddenly the auto idle mode is not working. The machine keeps high rpm even when its in idle position.

At 1200 hours it should be under warranty? Is it true that some are still being built with the 6 cylinder engine for the domestic Japanese market?

The dash 5G comes with the 6BG1 non common rail engine. Basically similar to the engines found in the older dash 1 machines. Usually sold in countries with less strict emission laws.

Check that the front attachment sensor has not been damaged. It is located on the swing motor nearest the cab side. The controllers need to see 4 seconds of no front attachment pressure before auto idle is initiated. Does your manual throttle still work?

Like my ex200-5 so Gary.heading for it's fourth set of chains.best machine I've ever had.Trouble free. Is there any of them being imported second into the uk?

No mate, not as far as i know. They certainly won't be certified for EU use and Hitachi won't bring them in and i'm pretty sure they wouldn't support them either should any issues arise. Not even sure if it's legal to import them as the emission's on them will be too high.

Do you mean the suto idle isn't working as in it won't drop to around 1400rpm when you let go of the levers or it just won't drop to idle when you turn the dial to idle? If the auto idle won't work there's usually 2 sensors control it. Either the travel pilot pressure sensor which, if its in the same position as the -5B will be located on the signal control valve( the lower switch of the 2). Or its the front att pilot pressure sensor which is the switch on the swing motor head. If its the other issue with the revs not dropping then to be honest it could be a number of things with it being the model with the EC motor. Any fault codes on the machine?
