I want to put together a power pack for a log grapple on my trailer. Currently its set up to hook to the truck but I'd like to disconnect and still have log grapple capability. How much power do I need to run a pump strong enough for the grapple? The grapple is a Prentice F90T. I can't find a lot of info on them. Closest thing I can find is the Weiler/Prentice 2124 which says 3200 PSI and 40GPM max. Could it get away with less GPM? I've done the calc for 3200 PSI and 40GPM and it suggests 75HP which sounds like overkill. Could I get away with something like a 40HP or am I completely off track?
