How to add front weights to a Case 580C

Hi my 580c is very light on the front end and with bushings and bearings worn on the swing frame every little rock feels like you hitting speed bumps at 100mph. I am looking at adding some weight to the front end and not having to worry about filling up the bucket with dirt every time. I removed the front cover underneath the radiator and there are 4 3/4'' bolts that will fit there. I have 1/2 plate to make a bracket and want to use some hang on IH weights or a hunk of iron. Wanted to know if any one here has done this and maybe with some pictures???? Thanks Daniel

Water in the front tires helps as well. An adapter is made to connect a garden hose to the inner tube valve. Lead, if you can find used wheel weights, melt them and cast them into a shape that will fit in the space.

They made two weights for the 580C, a 500 pound and a 700 pound, they are made to hang from the four bolts, the casting of the weight also goes under the frame to the rear several inches. Is your machine a E-hoe ?. You may find a used weight in a tractor bone yard up your way, the tube between you loader arms may hit also, most were less than 5-8 " out from the front. You could also do plate steel and drill the bolt holes to bolt it up. Using the plate and making a bracket would work it's just a clearance issue.
