how do i do it? pump has bee removed already.
It is a pretty simple matter. Get no.1 to top dead center. If you have been into the accessory drive there is a special tool required to get things right with the pump drive shaft. Get that right and rest is easy.
Set timing for #1 cylinder. The pump drive has an offset tang and only goes together one way. Rotate pump shaft until it ligns up.
Would have been far easier to put the pin in before removing the pump though ..........
What pin are you referring to? Those old D339's didn't have a timing pin if that's what you mean.
