Hello Guys, I really need your help concerning the "tolerances gap" existing between the axis of a bucket hydraulic cylinder jack and its freeze-in-bushing (for an earth moving machine such as the Komatsu PC-3000). Do you know where I can find those data if not confidentials? The machine series may be between 06028 and up? Thanks a lot for your attention
Are you referring to the bearing that is installed in either the rod end or the head end of the hydraulic cylinder..? If you work on the basis of 0.001" per inch of bush diameter you won't be far away. So if as an example if your bush measures (approx) 6" outside diameter then the inside diameter of the bore where the bush is installed will be the bush outside diameter minus 0.006". You will need either dry ice or liquid nitrogen to freeze the bush and also may require to heat the housing where it fits. In that state the bush ought to simply slide into the bore if you have machined everything correctly. Once the temperature stabilises the bush will be held tighly in the bore.
thanks a lot Nige, I am refering to the rod end cylinder.
