We are looking to change the fluid in our 330 and was wondering what is ok to use. I have read on here that the larger hitachi's require a zinc free fluid, is this the same with the smaller ones also? Other then the hitachi brand does anyone know of a company that makes the zinc free type and what its called?
AFAIK all Hitachi excavator hydraulic systems need ashless hydraulic oil, however there are lots of brands other than Hitachi HN46 which will cost you an arm & a leg as well, maybe both ....... Try this thread. Lots of brands mentioned.
