Recently i have driven past a very old crane truck that i found very intriguing. I have looked for hours but i cant find what brand and model it is. If anyone knows i would be thankfull
I will have my European friends take a look and get back.
The photos aren't very clear because they focus more on the truck than the crane itself, but it appears that it's a small self-erecting tower crane manufactured by BPR-Cadillon. In that case the carrier (chassis) would have probably been something custom-built. The name on the cab door belongs to a commerical construction company specializing in housing builds, so obviously not a rental. Also that gives some sort of indication of the size and design capacity of the crane if that type of work is was what it was designed for. Do you have any more photos showing the crane part.?
I have also asked around other communities, and the way it seems is that the truck is a custom modified FAUN truck since the cabin itself matches with the Faun 4110 mobile crane. The tower crane on the top is also just mounted on afterwards since BPR-Cadillon does not produce mobile cranes or truck mounted cranes. The Cabin also doesnt originally have the cut out for the folded crane. So it seems that this vehicle is a unique one off find and a custom build, which makes it just that more interesting to me.
I'm thinking possibly early Tadano.
Quite possible. If it was made in Germany a Krupp carrier is also a possibility. It might be a long shot but have you tried contacting the construction sompany and ask them.? From the appearance of their web site it is a family-owned business and maybe a member of the older generations of the family might remember something about it.?

It's a Gottwald built on a SFB SpezialFahrzeug-Bau chassis made in Germany. SFB built chassis for Krupp-Krane, Grove, Gottwald and Bucyrus Erie. Below is a Gottwald AMK 45, and SFB chassis.
