Could anybody help me find out who manufacture the axle model 12B3998 mounted on a Hino 500 FL. I tried Googleit but there is a no clue Thanks all
Have you looked for any logo's cast somewhere on the axle? Can't answer you specifically, but if your location is real, start your search with the sales literature pdf's/owners manuals of the originating country of your Hino to narrow down the axle suppliers that where used in that sales region. Usually the different axle weight options will show which manufacturer is the supplier. Here in North America a lot of the Hino components found on the trucks are domestic (North America) brands sourced from the typical major manufacturers found here (AC Delco, TRW, Bendix, Dana, Rockwell, etc.) since the trucks are assembled here. Hino truck Viet Nam deliberately remove all the transmission and axle ID tag to conceal the info about the manufacturer. I do not think Hino Viet nam uses brand name like Meritor or detroit. Those axle must come from China or Korea. On the transmission the ID tag had been removed but There is a LT logo engraved on the cover. Anybody have an idea which transmission company use LT logo?
I can tell you what they are in Australia tomorrow if you like.

What would be nice is a md/hd pumpkin shape idendification chart. That bottom shape would be a dead giveaway to anyone who is familiar with the axle.
