I got it. It's two stage regulator with coolant heat. What is this power ram deal they talk about? This regulator is hooked to a verified active vacuum port on the engine. The 12v lock off before the regulator does work. However, gas passes straight thru regulator if ignition is turned on. Engine experiences no start situation. Tested system with fuel off, starting fluid check. Fires right off. Disconnecting vacuum line from regulator while running does nothing. Should gas pass through this thing--key on, engne not running? The vacuum port does something, just not 100% sure. Vacuum port is 12v relieved with key off. Please respond asap if you have any suggestions. Probably looking at a reg rebuild. What is the function of this power ram kit they offer?
Sounds as if the diaphragm is blown out. Best, quickest if get a new regulator and install. Or this: https://centuryfuelproducts.com/2210-repair-kit
Do you know what the power ram does? I dont think its an internal shut off valve. I think is some kind of enrichment system that works off engine vacuum. Have a low pressure guage coming to apply an output pressure test. I do know that the vacuum line is vented to the atmosphete via a 12v pancake vent on engine vacuum port.
Got me on the power Ram...After my day. But gas straight thru whoosh is a blown diaphragm. Kit is fine IF present regulator is in condition to remove the screws to install. Often you get the kit and either can't get it open on stuck twisted off screws or it gets too distorted during handling to re assemble snugly. Save yourself some grief, get a new one, stick it on, put the machine back in service...
