in the market for a mini excavator. i want a "common size"...like a cat 304 size or 305? i have typically like cat excavators. live in georgia. mechanics are familiar with the brand and parts are available. i like the kubota 6 way blade options on their machines. more versatility. or the 4 way at least. i see many newer hyundai machines for sale at a good price. are they ok machines? i know hitachi makes deere machines. is a person better off buying the hitachi instead? is hitachi still selling in the usa or did they leave the usa market and allow deere to control? also, is volvo a good choice? i remember volvo buying samsung in the past. i have operated many takeuchi excavators. they seemed ok, but lacked many features that kubota has like the 4 way and 6 way blade. i would want an enclosed cab. and i think i may want to step it up and get a tiltrotator. not sure which brand, but maybe the indexator?? i want to be able to rotate the bucket and reach sideways along a slope and make a trench for silt fence, and ten poke the steel stakes in the ground on a whim. and also do v ditches, precise work, and of course, regular standard excavator work. maybe mow on the side. i need versatility. i would also like to add my bullseye laser receiver and a wide bucket for digging building pads on grade with minimal use of a skid steer and or a dozer. i want to be able to tow the excavator with a ford super duty f350 or f450. i dont want to be stuck with an "oddball" brand of excavator. unless it is worth it in the long run. i dont wanna be waiting on parts for an odd machine and i dont wanna lose on the resale side either. but i am aware that most manufacturers of excavators use similar parts and design. also, how many hours is too many hours on a use mini excavator? what is the best way to finance in todays market? gotta have money down? thanks!
