First off, it's great to be apart of this community. Long time lurker, first time poster! Recently, myself and my fellow supervisors received iPads from our company to allow for easier communication, project planning, etc. Today, we were brain storming options to mount these iPads in our equipment (Cat 980K loader and 740B haul trucks). Suction cups was the first idea but with the amount of bumps these machines are going over, the suction probably wouldn't hold. So my question is: Does anyone have any recommendations on how to mount an ipad to the equipment to give us easier access to the ipad when we're stopped to respond to e-mails, update projects via Liquid Planner, etc.? Any ideas would be appreciated!
Today is indeed your lucky day. There is about a bazillion of them. Check out amazon.com for the various mounting options. http://www.amazon.com/Arkon-Floor-G...F8&qid=1408619016&sr=8-13&keywords=ipad+mount Don't text and operate(?)

Humm, I'll have to pass a few of those on to the powers that be. And of course. Anyone caught on their phone, ipad, etc. while the equipment is rolling gets a write up (disqualifying from any bonuses that quarter) and if it happens again, they're looking for a new job. Thank you! Good to be here!
there are two types that I would recommend place it on one of those big round black things that roll when machine is placed in gear then go to work or get some duct tape and place it on bottom side of bucket makes good hard facing P.S. (leave the computers in the office on the desk)
