It aint a forklift, and it aint a excavator

crane operator · 2022-06-06 22:30

Its kind of both. popped up on local marketplace, supposedly (and shockingly ) its a little bit slow as a forklift. And in case someone is interested- its only $18,500

Meth, a scrap yard and time on your hands will do that

  2. #2Tags2022-06-06 22:41

A “Forkevator” or an “Excalift” or a complete waste of an excavator and a forklift and time…

    Wut the WUT!!!!

  4. #41466IH2022-06-06 22:43

Not gonna lie. I can think of about 100 projects for that right now. Actually kind of giving me an idea for some junk I have accumulated over the years

working between those houses that are close enough to roof run the whole development without touching the ground, where your neighbor borrows a cup of sugar with a basket on a pool cue. Where fires just go and go.

It be better if they kept the blade lol

I used to work out of my back yard and got my rubber tire fork lift stuck all the time when it rained. Even though it has big knobby tires. This thing would not have got stuck back there at all.

In two weeks everyone on here will have one {Toro Lift O}.

I have adapted forklift mast's for 3-point on a tractor. Done 4 of them, and learned something each time. This looks like the same sort of adaption, however the mast needs to go down much lower to the ground.

    You can't hide money!!!!!LOL

  11. #11RTSmith2022-06-07 16:21

    Now that's all all-terrain forklift!

The mast looks too big for the size of the carrier. Probably being sold because it has almost no lift capacity. That said, here's another one. I would assume you can turn the forks 360 deg's. which would come in handy in tight quarters. (58) Yanmar Crawler Forklift - YouTube

Well this little contraption would be handy for a DIY'er or contractor that needs two or three machines but only a budget for one.

Not me! I'm holding out for a Meclac.

Those are interesting to say the least. Have worked on one of them and shut the whole machine down because a rear camera got ripped off and their wiring harnesses are not very serviceable how they are routed.

Built by Ronco/Popeil.-----remember the Popeil Pocket Fisherman?

There's a guy out here that has a forklift bobcat, whole mast and carriage grafted to a bobtach plate, saw it this morning going down the freeway and reminded me about this lol

  18. #18Welder Dave2022-06-07 23:34

Bobcat made an M610 forklift with extra counterweight and a trailing wheel at the back. A dealer here who sold Bobcat from 1967 till 1983 had/has one.

Wouldn't be my first choice. I have limited need, but make do nicely with a set of over the bucket forks on the loader of my TLB.

  20. #20Vetech632022-06-08 07:27

All it needs is a winch and a dump bed.

  21. #211466IH2022-06-08 13:11

But how will it load itself? Have to make a loader frame that goes all the way up and over so it can dump into the bed. Lol

  22. #22Willie B2022-06-08 14:22

    Unimog had one like that.

  23. #231466IH2022-06-08 20:12

Oliver had something similar but no dump bed

Case has done this 40 -50 years ago, I have a pic of a 450 c crawler forklift too ,i cant locate

  25. #25CM19952022-06-12 20:13

Gas company and largest water utility runs this type of self loading dump truck. There are types where the doors open on the front and the truck can scoop a pile of spoils off the road. I guess they are handy for spot repairs and new services in the road.

  26. #26Birken Vogt2022-06-12 21:07

    Good for locating low wires.

  27. #27DDoug2022-06-13 09:01

...and good for trapping the occupants if the engine or any other part of the system quits when the arms are blocking the cab doors.

A good old inexpensive hyster will do the job just fine. 18K, yup, gold impregnated paint does it everytime. I bet it wouldn't lift 8k without tipping over.
