When installing a rebuilt injection pump does the motor need to be at TDC? Thank you in advance.
You need to line up the scribe lines in the window on the side of the injection pump before you pull the pump off and no it is not at top dead center

IF the drive shaft stayed with the engine ,when going back together be sure to line up the dimple on the drive shaft tang with the dimple on the pump drive slot.
