JD 333 E 2000Hrs S/N 264584 Right track motor has no power. Machine track power only on the left track forward and backwards. right track just rolls along and codes for no track speed. pumps have been taken out and checked twice. new final drive in the last 20hrs. lots of people have been in here checking different things. moved the hoses for drive motors from left to right and right to left problem moves over to the left and the right will start to work. no other codes. does anyone have a wiring breakdown for the controls to ECM and ECM to the pumps ?
Welcome to HEF Kyle ! Please post a picture of your serial number. The numbers you list are not coming up as valid. Check your messages. Check the wires at the hydrostatic solenoids real good. They like to break (under the insulation) real close to the solenoid connector. If you pull on the wires, you would see the insulation stretch at the point of the break.
Thanks i have not checked the wires yet.
Interesting. Don't know how that serial number got on a plate. It is not in the system and I see it says "duplicate plate".
ok thanks for at least checking
when i operated it i found that forwards works fine for left and right track. and its only rev right track not powering itself. checked wires going to solenoids on the side of the valve attached to the pump (c1 & c2) good ohms threw wires to solenoid's from plug at HCU. solenoids get 2.7v roughly when joystick is moved. someone did try a new HCU on it a couple months ago both solenoids for the right side pump have 3.5 ohms threw them when tested. someone also moved the solenoid valves from left to right. no change. this is the same side someone put a new new final drive on. is there a chance that they have the right side motor hooked up wrong ?
Did you pull on the wires at the solenoids looking for the insulation to stretch? That is what you would see if there was a broken wire under the insulation.
Hi Yes i pull tested the wires at the connectors and at the HCU plug for all the solenoid wires. I see why they would break easily there is not much to those wires.
If you cap off the two drive motor ports on the pump, then activate the travel, does the pump go over relief in both directions?
Hey MG i will check this out shortly as i am away from the shop currently. A tech has taken the lines off the pump and switched the lines from side to side. The problem does move to the left side motor ruling out the hook ups on the motors. The only thing not touched was the pump compensator that the C1 and C2 solenoids fit into. But the pump rebuild shop did take the pumps apart and bench tested and said both pumps are in good shape and in working order.
That tells me it is a pump issue. Still cap off the lines to make sure. Make sure the High Pressure reliefs were tightened all the way. If one is loose, it could cause your issue. I think it would also create an external leak, but check it anyway. Might want to make sure the spring and poppet are in there. Maybe the shop left one out. You sure there are no codes? Has anyone moved the wiring from the forward to the reverse solenoids on the problem pump to see if it follows the wiring?
RH reverse is slow. Will not turn when unit is at an idle. Warm hydraulic oil up to temp and attempt to perform hydrostatic threshold calibration – failed. Swap RH pump high pressure hoses and test – reverse is now fast and forward is slow. Issue is in the pump. Swap RH pump control valve solenoids and test – no change. Swap control valve cartridges – no change. Swap RH pump high pressure reliefs – no change. Connect gauge to charge pressure test port. When using RH reverse, charge pressure drops of 200 PSI. Charge pressure does not drop with any other track function. Cap off RH pump high pressure hoses – RH reverse will not build any pressure. Had Hydraulic pumps removed and tested at a pump rebuild shop. Pumps are ok
This tells me there is excessive leakage somewhere. And this tells me the issue is in the pump. While at this point I don't think it will matter, has anyone moved the wiring from the forward to the reverse solenoids on the problem pump to see if it follows the wiring?
No not yet. But u will try this when im back in the shop. Thanks
i replaced the pump same issue
Original post says S/N 264584 plate says 264584
I asked this earlier, but never received a response.
Sorry i didnt see the thread. Yes i moved the solonoid wiring from side to side on the back section responsible for the right drive. Problem stayied on the reverse side but was being controled by the forward location on the joystick. It was easier to pin point when switched into "bobcat controls" so that the right joystick only controls the right track. When joystickis pushed forward it would try and reverse put not very much. There is also a new Final drive on the rightside just to note.
You said you replaced the pumps? Did you check charge pressure again to see if it drops the 200 psi as before?
no i have not. After i replaced the pump i put this project on the back burner. With a new pump and a drop in charge pressure where else could it be? Is there a port on the new Track motor that maybe backwards ? Is there any line that maybe cross that could cause this?
I do not have an answer at the moment. I have to chew on this a bit. We may have to start over with the diagnostics, one step at a time. Something was missed.
