JD 450C hyd pump shaft

JD 450C dozer 6 way blade.Shaft that drives hyd pump broke. Any Ideas on what is causing this? is there any place to buy these shafts after market?

    Ok the new hyd pump locked up due to gears cutting into housing. There were thin slivers of the aluminum from housing between the gears. Now the question is what is causing this?

    Its fixed. The relief valve was installed incorrectly causing an over pressure. The pump gears were forced into pump housing causing it to lock up.

    Did it snap the pump shaft or part of the crank? sounds like you found the issue allright.

    It snapped the small drive shaft between the engine and hydraulic pump. John Deere gets $420 for that shaft.

    Good golly, it needs a shear bolt!
