JD 690e lc. Boom and hydraulics function at proper speed when engine is at low RPMs. When engine is at high RPMs the hydraulics functions slow down. No lights on behind the seat. Any ideas? Hyd system seems to be in good condition. TIA

Also did you try the manual bypass valve? Do the function speeds improve with it on?
Hi Mg2361, I haven't tried the manual by-pass yet. I'm looking at buying this machine. It recently had a new tested hydraulic pump and oil installed. SN DW690EL561287 Could it just need some computer programming done possibly? My fear is buying this machine and having to spend $10,000 to get this issue resolved. Would you have any advice? Price is fair for it. About $5000 below market price with this issue. With the SN would it be easy to get the model year identified? Thanks!
Built in 1997. Nope. We were never able to do programming on them. If we determined we had a controller issue we had to replace them. Valid fear. Those are complicated machines and even if you don't need hard parts it can get very expensive just diagnosing them. Me personally, I would not buy any machine that did not run well. Plus the vintage of that machine could make getting parts extremely difficult.
