The seal is leaking between the final Drive and the drive motor letting the gear oil leak from the final drive. What is the procedure to replace this seal?
Duo Cone seal is leaking. Final drive will have to come apart to get at the seal. Would be best if you sent it out or have a service manual to try and tackle it.
Looks fairly straightforward for disassembly, you would at least need the instructions for setting bearing preload and tightening the big nut when reassembling. As 707 said, if you haven't done anything like this before it's best to send it out or have some experienced help and the manual. I think these were made by Yanmar for Deere but that's a lot of beers ago so don't quote me. Seal is #5, main hub bearings #4, and the retainer nut is #12. Of course removing the track is the fun part!
