hi i had posted a couple years ago or so about having issues... with my 310a backhoe where its hard to start.. and i was told to use the boom to push it to the right facing backwards.. to relieve the pressure... and i recently had to buy a new starter as old one burned out cuz its hard to start.. i purchased a solinode from Princess Auto that would fit the old solinode for like 25 bucks.. from, hydrualic power packs for like wood splitters.. same size etc... and i get 6 volts to the connection.. but what i finding its not working its not pulling the plunger... now since JD isnt the same anymore in canada i forget what company it is now.. i can no longer find the parts page where you get the break down of all the JD parts for the 310a and i remember when JD was ontrack or i forget the solinode.. was 800 dollars.. so 25 seemed more resonable... but question is if i unscrew the plunger .. are there parts going to fall out? can i fix the plunger? like remove it and clean any dirt etc... anything i can do... and if not... is there a place i can purchase the shaft part and fix it myself cheaper then 800 canadian dollars..
Is this what you need
It has already cost you a starter. Bite the bullet and get the OEM solenoid.
@Tyler d4c ya ... what i did was i removed the nut... slid off the old coil and cut the wires off and wired it to the new coil i picked up... and put a nut on but i found it didnt help but also mine looks different from that picture but that be the unit i never unscrewed the shaft out of the pump as im sure the oil will just pour out as for buying the starter.. well i didnt buy it from john deer bought it from a starter place.. as i knew john deere was too expensive.. plus i cant afford 800... will take me a few months to afford that. low income so 300 dollar starter is a big hit for me..... and that greetpartstore thats alot better that be cheaper probably around 450 canadian ill have to check if they ship to canada
