Found water in trannie/hydraulic case have pumped out through leg stabilizer line until it justs lets air out only got five gallons out holds 20.5 gallons but it appears empty would that indicate tranny is empty dont want to pull drain plugs and get soaked any ideas
If you're afraid to pull the drain plugs, maybe you can get your wife to drain the oil?
jd310a real funny
I thought so too.... You really shouldn't be running the pump starved for oil. The rest of the fluid that you are looking for is in the cylinders, hoses, etc.
jd 319a theres one in every crowd, anyway i only ran it until the first spurt of air then shut down have manually drained all hoses and cylinders by hand but total amount removed was five gallons so i think it was low to begin with i just didnt want to drop the two plugs or filters and get a bath there will be only some in the filters what do you think
Drop the plugs and change the filters. The worst sludge and any free water will be in the bottom of the tranny, along with gallons of oil. Sometimes engineers do things for a reason, and putting the drain plugs on the bottom is one of them. If the manual says it holds 20 gallons, that is the amount that should drain out of the reservoir, there will be another 10 gallons that you can get out of the cylinders and lines relatively easily.
jd310a ive pretty well have gotten all the oil out the one filter is on the lower side of the resivoir so if i crack that it should drain out hope just a small amount no fun on your back the plugs are 1 1/4 and the impact wrench didnt loosen them at all thanks for the info
Get a two pound hammer and hit those drain plugs squarely about six times. They will come out.
jd310a will do thanks
