Have a 1050c that the final is leaking on does anyone have any experience resealing this animal? Just wondering if its feasible to do or need service tech to do this job? Thanks for your help in advance.
Have you ever been inside of a final drive? What kind of tooling do you have?
No I have never been inside a final before. Just basic shop tools.
Any ideas if these types of finals leak from lack of use? Filled with oil and full for after 3 days of using it to push back dirt.
Parts are heavy you need something to handle them is it leaking between sprocket and frame or on the outside?
Sprocket and frame
First off check the oil level. If it's over full then more than likely the seal on the hyd motor is carput causing the hub to pressurise hence the leaking seal you see
Level was low then filled. It has as resivour with a level indicator on it and hasn't went down after refilling it
Take pics of your leak and post them here. Some final leaks are slow when they first start out.
Will do it's my sons and it may be some time before I get back out there but I will try and get some pics.
